Author, Historian, Former Black Panther Member, Lecturer, Social Activist Robert Lee Johnson has been chairman of the projects committee of the History Council at the California African American Museum. He was co-coordinator of the Compton branch of the Black Panther Party and a founding member of the Coalition Against Police Abuse. Tonight Robert takes on the history of Compton California form 1869 to about the 1970’s through his book entitled “Images of America-Compton”.
